I love this photo. Sometimes the most difficult lighting situations can make the most beautiful images. The light coming behind the subjects was difficult to work with. But that’s where Mikayla was, and I was going to capture anything I could of her in this moment. (And believe me, it was just a fleeting moment!) But I love the effect it gives of the light streaming down over them, casting mulitple colors.

But look what we got. I’m so glad they changed their mind. Jordan said I could only take two photos–one for each camera I had around my neck. And he meant it. That’s all he gave me.
